Are you ready to enter your pool for The Oscars? It’s that time of year again as movie fans and celebrity aficionados watch all the award shows and the red carpet events. Some are boring, and some are fun when you have edgy guys like Ricky Gervais hosting the events like he does for the Golden Globes.
But the real action is at the Academy Awards. Las Vegas sportsbooks post odds on the events, and countless people enter into pool with their friends or at the office. Michelle Williams is naturally getting a ton of buzz for her role in “My Week With Marylin.” Playing an iconic sex symbol certainly doesn’t hurt when you’re looking for attention at award time.
Many of these pools are online, as that’s where much of the fun is these days, from online fantasy sports to online bingo. To update yourself about latest free bingo offers, visit super free bingo sites. This week it’s the Super Bowl getting all the buzz, but the Oscars are definitely the next big thing.
Go online, do your research, and you might just win your pool. Look for experts like Roger Ebert and others like him.
Minka Kelly recently snubbed Jake Gyllenhaal when he recently asked her out on a date. Apparently she is trying to get back together with Derek Jeter.
You can’t blame Jake for trying. Minka Kelly is simply stunning, as you can see from this sexy slideshow and the photo of her above from “Parenthood.” She is quite a catch but it sounds like she’s hooked on Jeter.
Donald Trump arriving at the world premiere of ‘Tower Heist’ at the Ziegfeld Theatre on October 24, 2011 in New York City.
Donald Trump would be my choice. He’s annoying enough when he sticks to simple self-promotion, but his foray into politics was disgraceful and embarrassing. Birtherism – really?
Who would you pick? Here’s a great list from Barry Koltnow. Trump is #9 on his list, and he has the usual suspects like Kim Kardashian and Snooki.
Whoever posted this video found some amazing photos of Hillary Swank. Damn she can look hot, even if she looks a little rough at other times. The pics with the see-through top are amazing as Hillary has a healthy cleavage!
She’s a great actress as well, but recently she’s been getting some bad press, but her new movie “New Year’s Eve” opens in December.
We weren’t familiar with Italian actress Micaela Ramazzotti, but we saw these photos of her on the red carpet in Rome for her movie “Il cuore grande delle ragazze” directed by Pupi Avati at Rome Film Festival and we were instantly hooked. Wow!

The popular colors for fall this year are mustard, rust, purple and the timeless black and white. The trendy styles include jackets and sweaters that are tapered to show off the waist-line as well as polka dot patterns and checks. You will also see oversize coats and maxi-skirts in the most exclusive women’s stores on Fifth Avenue and Rodeo Drive. Here are five fashion trends for 2011.
1. Polka Time. Fall means Oktoberfest in many cities around the world and this year the Beer Barrel Polka isn’t the only one that will be popular. Polka Dots are in. Whether you find them on dresses or a blouse, they have found their way on to many of the runways in New York, Paris and Milan. Top designers like Diane von Furstenberg are using them in a variety of ways to dress up outfits. Something as simple as a black and white polka dot scarf can dress up an outfit to make it look like something off the pages of Glamour Magazine.
2. Mustard. To stick with the Oktoberfest theme, you will want to put some mustard on your bratwurst this fall. One of the top colors for the fall of 2011 is mustard. You can expect to see one of the Olsen twins out on the town this fall in a slim mustard colored jacket from The Row. You might even see Mary Kate or Ashley sporting a mustard colored Day Luze alligator bag from The Row. Don’t want to pay the full Barney’s of New York price? Shop eBay purses for a deal.
3. Maxi-skirts. Put away the minis for the fall, instead maxi-skirts are in. Pleated long skirts were a staple of Fashion Week this year and are being touted as the perfect weekend wear. Dress one up with a sweater and you are ready to hit the town on a Saturday night. Nicole Richie has already been snapped by the paparazzi on the town in maxi-skits from Ella Moss.
4. Oversize Jackets. Fall means a chill in the air and the stylish way to stay warm this October and November will be in an oversize jacket. Camel colored blazers and outerwear were all the rage back when DKNY and the other top brands were rolling out their fall line. Try a camel jacket over a rust colored dress and you will be at the high-end of the fall fashion trend.
5. Black and White. It is so timeless that it almost seems wrong to call black and white a fashion trend but it is once again a big part of the fall line for designers in London and Paris. Whether it is in the polka dot pattern we mentioned earlier or white lace over solid black, these outfits can be worn to work and then right out to happy hour afterwards.
