Get ready for another season of wild creatures, plenty of blood and of course sexy actresses getting down and dirty. “True Blood” is back for season 6, and while the show has slipped a bit, it’s still sexy as hell.
One of the best stories from season 5 involves the evolving relationship between Tara and Pam that culminated in a hot kiss at the end of the season. Actresses Rutina Wesley and Kristin Bauer van Straten have developed a real chemistry together, and we’re looking forward to seeing how this continues in Season 6 starting tonight.
Here’s an interesting bit of news. Great Briton is staring at a potential “boob tax” as the government is trying to find places where they can raise more revenues. The plan involves raising up to £500 million by enacting a Value Added Tax on cosmetic surgery procedures like breast enhancement. This would increase the cost of operations like facelifts, tummy tucks and liposuction by 20 per cent. Until now, only minor procedures like Botox got this treatment.
Naturally, this is HUGE news for celebrities. Beauty is everything in the entertainment world, and many attractive celebrities need to rely on plastic surgery to keep their careers going. Naturally, breast enlargement is one of the most popular procedures. This is often more about enhancement that maintenance, but there’s nothing like an impressive rack to garner attention for a young actress, or an actress hoping to stay on top.
It doesn’t of course only apply to women. Famous men don’t want to go bald or lose their hair, unless they happen to look great with the shaved look. So hair transplant procedures are also very popular with the celebrity crowd.
Places like the Nu Cosmetic Clinic have a ton of business from regular people and celebrities, so it will be very interesting to see how this development is received by the public. Plastic surgery has become much more popular, so this will affect regular people as well.

The show featured Minka Kelly, Annie Ilonzeh and Rachael Taylor as the three new angels. Minka Kelly is beautiful and she seemed like the perfect new version of the Jaclyn Smith character, but the show didn’t have anyone to fill the blonde bombshell role occupied by Farrah Fawcett and then Cheryl Ladd.
The show was mostly filmed in the city of Miami so this is a blow to that area. The concept was a good one, and Miami Beach offered an ideal setting, but it just didn’t come together.
Minka Kelly looks like a star, so I expect to see her get many more chances to carry a series. The other two actresses did a fine job as well, but perhaps the expectations here were too high.
Ann Summers has launched a new campaign in collaboration with ITV2 to find the sexiest women in the UK for a TV-based competition.
Entrants will take part in the competition in a bid to become the new face of the kinky retailer with lingerie from Ann Summers on show throughout the campaign. ITV2 will air short teasers in the run up to the final advert, which will hand the vote over to the public to pick the sexiest model. The results of the poll at www.sexyuncovered.com will determine which model will grace screens in Ann Summers’ advertising campaign next year.
