While most of the country seems to be covered in snow, it’s easy to forget that spring is right around the corner. There are tons of great events coming up like March Madness, baseball’s Opening Day, The Masters and of course the Kentucky Derby, all events where we often see celebrities coming out to enjoy themselves.
The Kentucky Derby is one of the more popular events for celebrities, as women get decked out in beautiful dresses and those amazing hats. It’s a perfect atmosphere for celebrity red carpets, and in recent years we’ve seen the likes of Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and Marisa Miller. So at the Derby you can drink up your Mint Juleps, watch some beautiful women in their sexy hats, and of course bet on Kentucky Derby winners.
The video above from Maxim shows just how fun the parties can be for the Derby. Maxim of course has one of the better parties, with tons of attractive models and plenty of celebrities strutting on the red carpet. In this video you’ll see the beautiful Erin Andrews among other celebrities. The key is making an entire weekend out of the event. It’s not just about the races, the horses and placing bets, though that’s a huge part of why everyone is there. It’s really a Southern celebration, and women plan their entire weekend around the different dresses and hats they’ve picked out. Every night there are tons of parties all around town, and you don’t have to be at a celebrity party to enjoy yourself.
On race day, you can pay more to have a more elegant time in the stands, or you can get crazy in the infield with cases of beer and a bunch of wild party animals.
Either way, it’s a great time, and planning a trip there can help you get through your winter blues.

Let me get this straight. Kim Kardashian is famous for . . . just being famous. She’s attractive, but she has no discernible other than those she displayed in her sex tape. Somehow she became famous, and now she’s suing Old Navy just because they have Melissa Molinaro in an ad, and she looks like her?

Kardashian “has invested substantial time, energy, finances and entrepreneurial effort in developing her considerable professional and commercial achievements and success, as well as in developing her popularity, fame, and prominence in the public eye,” the lawsuit states.
Hmm . . . are they referring to all the “work” she did in the sex tape?
Check out the ad above. They look alike, though I think Melissa is more attractive (her ass doesn’t look huge). Oh, and Melissa Molinaro is dating Reggie Bush . . .
So no attractive brunettes who look a little like Kardashian can ever do another TV commercial because someone might confuse them with this publicity whore? Give me a break.

Kim Kardashian celebrated the New Year at her favorite place, Tao Las Vegas. She arrived in a silver hand beaded asymmetric draped dress that was custom made by Marc Bouwer as well as signature Christian Louboutin heels. The evening started with dinner at Tao where Kim enjoyed Chilean Sea Bass and many other signature dishes. After dinner, she craved dessert so she indulged into the Tao’s fortune cookie that promised her a future of happiness, love and success. She enjoyed her cookie and had another bite of dessert from her brother's plate.
Rob Kardashian, Brittny Gastineau, famed video director Hype Williams and many other friends helped Kim ring in the New Year at Tao Nightclub after dinner. She arrived to Tao with mic in hand as she addressed the screaming crowd, “I did my 30th birthday here a couple months ago. I am happy to be back! Later tonight I have a surprise for you!” She then made a toast to her friends, “to a great and amazing new year ahead, I love you guys!” The party began and included lots of dancing and laughing with close friends. Kim stated that her resolutions are “to spend more time with family and have more ME time. I also want to step it up in the gym. I have been doing so good in 2010 being dedicated to health and fitness. I want to keep it up. Actually, it’s a life resolution for me.”
“Our entire family made a resolution to each other to get out of our comfort zone and push the envelope and be open to all challenges, which my sisters and I have a new announcement coming up.”
As 2010 ended, Kim led Tao into the final countdown from the stage. As midnight struck, balloons and confetti fell in an explosion of energy as the crowd cheered, “Happy New Year!” Kim finished the countdown with “Let’s party Vegas!”
Later in the evening she moved to the dance floor as she unveiled her surprise for the guests. The DJ played her new song, which is still untitled. Tao guests were the first to hear the new track. She sang along as the crowd danced to her new song. Hype Williams was on scene to shoot club scenes for Kim’s new music video. Fans screamed and snapped photos of Kim as she partied to her new song.
She ended her night around 2am and headed back to the Piazza Suite at the Venetian for a Girls Only slumber party for all her closest friends. She also expressed, “The Venetian is my favorite place to stay. They take such good care of me and it is like my second home.”
