Conan O’Brien breaks silence on 60 Minutes

Since losing “The Tonight Show” and getting replaced by Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien has stayed off of television as a result of his contract with NBC, though he’s been making quite a splash on Twitter. Last night he appeared on “60 Minutes” and you can see the video above.

In many ways, I think all will work out fine for Conan. His new show on TBS will be perfect for him. Of course it must hurt to lose “The Tonight Show,” but he may be better off on a cable network as he won’t have the pressure to alter his style for a wider, mainstream audience.

Conan’s main point is that he wouldn’t have taken back the show if he had handed it off to someone, and in that respect he has a great point. Leno may have been forced out too soon, but he then took the show back. Not his best moment . . .

Iron Man 2 cast steps out for world premiere

On Monday, Hollywood played host the world premiere for what is arguably this year’s hottest blockbuster, Iron Man 2. The film, which releases to theaters on May 7th, was directed by Jon Favreau and features the return of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts. The sequel also adds Mickey Rourke, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle and Samuel L. Jackson to an already amazing cast.

Iron Man 2 is the first sequel to the latest series of Marvel films that focus on the SHIELD program storyline. If you’ll remember, The Incredible Hulk ended with Tony Stark in a bar, talking with General Ross about a collaboration with the world’s new breed of superhero. You may also recall Samuel L. Jackson’s appearance at the end of the first Iron Man movie as Nick Fury, a role he’ll reprise for Iron Man 2.

First shot of Christina Aguilera from ‘Not Myself Tonight’

The world’s been waiting for quite a while for a new video from Christina Aguilera and we’ll finally get one this week. In the days prior to the launch, the press is being treated to a shot from the video each day of the week.

The video for “Not Myself Tonight” will be the first from her new album, Bionic, which releases June 8th. The album will be Aguilera’s first release since 2006. In the time off, Aguilera has had a son, who she says was a big inspiration for the new album.

Despite her recent pregnancy, Aguilera has obviously used her time off to regain her amazing figure. If anything, it looks like she’s packing a little more junk in the trunk, and let’s be honest, who doesn’t like that?
