UK Glamor Model Jodie Marsh uses supplements to get ripped

In a transformation that has stunned the British tabloid newspapers, high profile glamour model and celebrity socialite Jodie Marsh has turned herself into a competitive bodybuilder by using protein powder and other diet supplements.

The 32-year-old Essex girl has already achieved a fifth-place finish in the Natural Physique Association (NPA) Mike Williams Classic and Pro-Am Bodybuilding Championships in the city of Sheffield, having dropped her weight from nine-and-a-half stone to just eight stone in the space of eight weeks.

It is unclear whether Miss Marsh used fat burners, which are popular amongst bodybuilders who are looking to shed excess weight, as part of her training regime, but she has pointed to whey protein powder and a lot of egg whites as being crucial to her new nutrition plan.

Jodie told the This Morning TV show that, as a vegetarian, she did not follow the traditional bodybuilding diet plan of high protein intake through regular meals of lean meat. Instead, she takes on board 15 egg whites and seven protein shakes each day.

Her daily training routine involves three hours of cardiovascular training, two hours of weights and one hour working on her abdominal muscles through sit-ups and crunches. She also spends an hour a day working on her poses and routines, in order to be ready to compete at bodybuilding competitions.

Miss Marsh is clearly happy with the way her body looks, telling Metro: “My self-esteem is higher, my confidence is higher, I feel more secure, feel powerful – I almost feel invincible. I do feel a bit like Superwoman.”

Jodie’s new body has provoked a mixed reaction in UK newspapers but she says she can understand those who are put off by the high-octane world of weight training and bodybuilding.

She said: “If you’re not in the bodybuilding world it is scary, but to me it is normal. The more muscly and defined the better. It’s natural bodybuilding and not steroid. The steroid ones are f***ing scary. I think I still look really feminine.”

Here’s an interesting bit of news. Great Briton is staring at a potential “boob tax” as the government is trying to find places where they can raise more revenues. The plan involves raising up to £500 million by enacting a Value Added Tax on cosmetic surgery procedures like breast enhancement. This would increase the cost of operations like facelifts, tummy tucks and liposuction by 20 per cent. Until now, only minor procedures like Botox got this treatment.
